Common questions
A price hasn't updated
Pull down on the balance sheet to refresh. A price won't change while its market is closed, and Taiwan fund NAVs are published once a day. A warning beside a price means it's older than expected; tap it to see the price's date and try again.
I can't find a stock or fund
Search by symbol or name. Accounted prices stocks and ETFs on US and 45+ other exchanges, Taiwan stocks and funds, crypto and precious metals. For anything else, add it without a symbol and enter the price yourself.
How do I correct a past entry?
Open the account and tap the entry in its history to change the number. Swipe left on an entry to delete it.
How do I leave an account out of my net worth?
Touch and hold its block and choose Count in Net Worth to turn it off. It moves below the chart, still visible but not counted.
How do I hide my balances?
Tap the eye button next to Net Worth. Every amount is hidden; touch and hold the total to peek.
How do I change the currency totals are shown in?
Open the app's Settings and choose Currency. Each account keeps its own currency; only the totals convert.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting an account in the app deletes it on every device. To remove everything, delete Accounted's data from your iCloud storage in Settings, then delete the app. For anything else, see the privacy policy or email us.
How do I restore a backup?
Open the app's Settings > iCloud and tap a backup. Restore puts your balance sheet back the way it was; Merge brings back only what's missing. Accounted saves a backup of what you have first, so you can undo either.
How do I cancel Accounted Pro?
In the app's Settings, tap Accounted Pro, then Manage Subscription. You can also cancel in your iPhone's Settings under your name > Subscriptions. Every account stays after Pro ends.
