Use cases
Your net worth spreadsheet, without the upkeep
A spreadsheet is the classic way to track net worth, and it works until the prices, exchange rates and loan balances need updating every month. Accounted does that part.
What carries over
The idea is the same: one row per account, one number each, a total at the bottom. Add the same accounts in Accounted.
What you stop doing
Looking up prices and converting currencies. Those update themselves; you update only the balances that changed, like a savings account or a loan.
What a spreadsheet still does better
Custom formulas, projections, and sharing the file with someone else. If those matter most, keep the spreadsheet; Accounted is for knowing where you stand at a glance.
Questions
Can I import my spreadsheet?
There's no file import. Each account takes one number to add.
Can I export my data?
Not as a file yet. Accounted backs up your balance sheet every week, and you can make a backup yourself any time in the app's Settings > iCloud.
