Terms of Use

By downloading or using the app or the website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Accounted is provided by TechTech, a personal brand of Charles Tseng in Taiwan. TechTech is not a registered company. You can contact us at support@accounted.finance.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal use. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies alongside these terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement prevails for matters it covers.

The app is free to download and use with up to 10 accounts. Accounted Pro removes that limit. It comes as Individual (a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase) or Family (a monthly or yearly subscription that up to 6 people can use through Apple's Family Sharing). Prices are shown in the app before you buy, and there is no free trial. Purchases are made through Apple, and payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; you manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings, and Apple handles refunds under its policies. If a subscription ends, nothing you have recorded is removed, and the accounts you have keep updating; only adding more than 10 needs Pro again.

Accounted is a tool for recording and viewing your own information. What it shows is for information only. It is not investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. You are responsible for your own decisions. Talk to a qualified professional when you need advice.

Prices, fund values and exchange rates shown in Accounted come from third parties: publicly available market data for stocks, ETFs, crypto, precious metals and exchange rates, Taiwan's public open data for fund values and as a backup (provided under the Government Open Data License, Taiwan), and the European Central Bank. This is reference data. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and it is provided as is. It is not investment advice, and the app is not a source for trading.

Showing data from a source does not mean that source approves, endorses or recommends Accounted. Each source's own terms apply to its data.

Currency conversions, totals and other figures are calculated from what you enter and from third-party data, and they are estimates. They may differ from your lender's, broker's or bank's records. Check them against your official statements.

Your balance sheet is stored on your device and, if you're signed in to iCloud, in your own iCloud account, which Apple provides under its own terms. iCloud is not a backup: deleting an account deletes it on every device. If you are not signed in to iCloud and you delete the app or lose or reset your device, or if a change made while iCloud is unavailable never reaches it, your data may be lost and we cannot restore it. Keep your own records. We are not responsible for loss of data in these cases.

You agree not to copy, resell or redistribute the app or the website; not to reverse engineer the app or interfere with it or with our servers; not to use automated means to access our price service beyond normal use of the app; and not to use Accounted for anything unlawful.

The app, the website, the name Accounted, the design and the software belong to TechTech and are licensed to you, not sold. The information you enter is yours. Third-party data stays with its owners.

To the extent the law allows, Accounted and the website are provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that they will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, TechTech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of Accounted or from relying on its figures. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.

We may change, add or remove features at any time. We may also update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date, and for material changes we will give notice in advance. If you keep using Accounted after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

You can stop using Accounted at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as the disclaimers and the limit of liability, continue after termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If you use Accounted as a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
